A SCUNTHORPE man has been jailed after pleading guilty at Grimsby Crown Court to charges of burglary, taking a vehicle without consent and failing to provide a sample.Daniel Pursglove, 27, of Ripon Close, was jailed for 14 months and was also ordered to pay a £900 court charge and a £100 victim surcharge, as well as being banned from driving for 12 months.

RESIDENTS in the centre of Scunthorpe have been urged to be extra vigilant following a spate of daytime burglaries.
Police started door-to-door enquiries after the latest raid on the home of Scunthorpe taxi operator Rabbani Choudhury in Avenue Vivian.
Mr Choudhury said the thieves struck between 11am and noon yesterday (Thursday, December 10) and got away with a safe containing £20,000 worth of gold.
Fellow taxi operator and local Labour councillor Mashook Ali was another victim.
