POLICE have appealed for information after a Scunthorpe robbery where a large amount of jewellery was stolen.
Officers say a thief escaped with the haul of gold, thought to be worth tens of thousands of pounds, after snatching a woman's handbag on Dale Street.
The incident happened between 10pm and 10.15pm on Tuesday, July 7 and details of it have been released by police today (Monday, July 20).
