Crime Reduction Initiatives have been given the go-ahead to set up a drug and alcohol recovery unit in Scunthorpe High Street.
The applicants say it will bring health and crime reduction benefits to the area.
Crime Reduction Initiatives, of Leeds, has North Lincolnshire Council's approval to set up one-to-one counselling rooms, group training, clinical rooms and an admin area at 189-195 High Street, which is close to Britannia Corner.

POLICE have appealed for information after an incident where woman had her handbag snatched.
Officers say the incident happened at around 9.40am today (Wednesday, July 29) and that inquiries are ongoing.

Plant equipment stolen from industrial site - police launch...
POLICE have appealed for information after plant equipment was stolen from an industrial site.
Officers say a break-in happened between 8pm yesterday (Thursday, July 30) and 7am this morning.
It happened at a site opposite Brigg Primary School, on Atherton Way in the town.
A Humberside Police statement said a mini excavator and a ride-on roller were stolen.
Anybody with information relating to the incident is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime number 2129013.

Scunthorpe street cordoned off by police after incident
POLICE were called to an incident which led to a street being cordoned off near Scunthorpe town centre.
Officers, including forensic investigators, were sent to the incident, which happened on Diana Street at around 6pm yesterday (Friday, July 31).
A police officer at the scene confirmed a section of the street was closed while investigations were ongoing.
No further details have so far been revealed.
The road fully reopened at around 9pm.
