RESIDENTS have reacted after police cordoned off a Scunthorpe home after a man was taken to hospital with a stab wound.
Police say a 55-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent after a man suffered serious chest injuries following a disturbance in Axholme Road, Scunthorpe.
One resident on Axholme Road said: "I was at work when it happened, but when I came back I was told that he had been stabbed by someone in the chest.

Scunthorpe's latest crime figures reveal the area of the town where most offences took place.
Statistics have now been released through national website www.police.uk for November.
During that month there were 282 crimes reported within a one-mile radius of the town's main police station.

HUMBERSIDE police have said that youths 'causing annoyance' in a North Lincolnshire town continues to be a priority.
The police are carrying out regular patrols around Crowle Market Place and it has been suggested the youths are from outside the area.
