A MAN arrested during a stay on the intensive care unit of Scunthorpe General Hospital has been sentenced for attacking two police officers.
Lee Spindley, 39, attacked PC Laura Wilson when she stopped him from telephoning his mother from hospital, before kicking PC Simon Sephton when he was taken to the police station, a court heard.
Spindley, of Byfield Road, Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer and common assault on September 21.
