Brick attack on Scunthorpe pub puts landlord in hospital

SECURITY measures at a Scunthorpe pub have been stepped up after brick-throwing hooligans caused thousands of pounds' worth of damage and put the landlord in hospital.Landlady Jeanette Ellis said the attack happened at the Open Hearth on Warley Road, after closing time on Sunday (March 27).She said 18 windows on the ground floor were smashed.Mrs Ellis said one of the bricks hit co-manager Gary Ellis on the back of the head as he was tidying up and he was admitted to Scunthorpe General...
