A PENSIONER has been told he is likely to spend the rest of his life in jail after he raped a girl then threatened to kill her.
Edward Lowe, 70, of Elswick Gardens, Barton, was already serving a 12-year sentence for rape and indecent assaults and was due to be released in 2019.
However, after sentencing him to a further eight years in prison, Judge Graham Robinson told Lowe it was likely he would die in prison.
